Good morning, Hoppers! I have to work this morning and early afternoon as part of my training to become a nurse's assistant, but I promise I'll be hopping later this afternoon! Also, if you hop and decide to follow, just leave a message so that I know to follow you back. Of course, I might start following you even if you don't follow me, because I love all things bookish, and my TBR pile is only at a couple hundred books or so.
So this week's question comes from Tina over at Book Couture.
"How do you spread the word about your blog?
(e.g. Social Networking sites, Book Blog Directories, comments on other blogs...)"
Well, I do twitter, and I think I have a Facebook account for this site... which I obviously don't put enough work into, I do have my blog listed on the book blog directories, but honestly it's blog hops like this that have boosted my follower ratings. I've only been blogging for a year now, and I'm not very disciplined, but I'll get there. I just enjoy being part of such an awesome online community, so I'd still be blogging about books whether I have 2 or 200 followers. My heart does swell with happiness when I see I have comments though! Got to run for now, but later I will be posting some of the sites I hop to today, which I failed to do last week. Happy hopping!

*More to hop, but I'm working all day and evening tomorrow and studying for a CNA test. I'll do my best to stop by all who hop here, and more! Sometimes I feel like my biggest accomplishment all day is zeroing out my Google Reader!

The tough part for me is to connect with blogs with readers who like the same kinds of reading I do.
ReplyDeleteAnd I still haven't figured out the value of Twitter.
I love comments too :) Also I totally agree, the blog hop is a great way to get your blog out there.
ReplyDeleteI love the book blogger community for the reason that you can really tell that people are writing because they love it and they love reading, and like you mentioned, they would write for 2 or 200 followers.
ReplyDeletemy book blogger hop
Happy HOP! The thing I do that helps keep my blog happy is I do the weekly meme activities. I take those opportunities to go visit other blogs and say hello. My hope is that the blogger will then come visit me and take it from there. It's a lot of fun and I'm meeting some great people.
ReplyDeleteCome HOP by and visit
Especially meaningful comments, yeah? I love when people read my reviews and actually seem to get something from it!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog design, btw. Maybe not particularly meaningful, but true!
I think a lot of people are getting the most networking for their buck through things like blogger hop!

Hi Kate, I share the same view. I don't care if I have hundreds of followers or ten. I think first and foremost, we write for ourselves and of course, when we make friends through our blogs, that's wonderful! :)
ReplyDelete.....Just hopping by...hope you are having fun in the hop.
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog if you like to see how I get the word out:
