Here's why the YA2U Team should come to MY hometown!
My hometown is Richmond, VA, home of the Edgar Allen Poe Museum, which honestly should be reason enough. You'd think being this close to D.C. we'd get lots of authors sipping tea on Cary Street or gravestone rubbing at the Hollywood Cemetery whilst reading aloud from their latest books, but you'd be wrong. Richmond, VA is a perfect East Coast stop for authors- we don't have the crowded chaos of Northern Virginia and we're an easy destination for out-of-state book lovers as we have an Amtrak station! As much as I love traveling to North Carolina and DC, New York and Maryland for author signings, it's a little sad that there's no reason for my fellow book bloggers and book loving friends to come visit me so that we can attend bookish events. Please, help Richmond, Virginia make it on the YA map! I promise to hang with you before the event, and after. And I'll bring free bookmarks!! VOTE RVA!!!!
Why should the YA2U Team come to your hometown? Why not join in the fun today and share with others about this program and your hometown. The more votes your town gets, the closer you are to having your very own personal tour stop! Vote for YOUR town here!
And if you help spread the word, you can also participate in the book giveaway. Tell them that you learned about YA2U from me and we both get extra entries in the contest!
