Feeling Guilty

I haven't done a book review in awhile but it's not because I haven't been reading.  I'm actually still reading lots, but my main focus has been my health.  Not that I'm sick, but I am starting a new weight loss program so I've been busy with that.  I promise to blog more in the coming weeks, but right now I have to take care of me.  I promise to share more details later as things progress, but right now I kind of want to keep the book blog and my weight loss blog separate.  I worry too much about jinxing things.  lol

The good news is I am still doing my Blog Give Away, just extending it until June 15th, so there's still time to qualify.  Just click the link on the right hand column to be taken to the original post.

I've read some really good books lately:

Little Bee by Chris Cleave (but it is not a happy book- just warning you!  My book club felt very mislead on that point).

Insatiable by Meg Cabot: I love her.  I do.  It's borderline obsessive.  If I can't have a Heather Wells novel, then I'll take her new novel about vampires, soap operas and hot vampire hunters.

Spooky Little Girl by Laurie Notaro: I cannot say this too much: this is one of the funniest books I've read in a long, long time.  I do not easily LOL while reading books, but this was one book that had people staring at me at the gym when I was on the treadmill reading it on my Kindle.  They probably thought I was a nut, especially all those people who couldn't see what I was staring at.

Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris: Not done with this one yet, but I don't care because it gave me my Eric fix.  There's a little too much Bill at the moment, and I hate him, but still I'm liking it.

And I'm also reading Four to Score by Janet Evanovich and I just have to say that I want Stephanie Plum's grandmother and friend Lucilla as my own.

  1. I just read Little Bee on the way home from NYC. You're right - not a happy book.

  2. Oh, I just love funny books. There don't seem to be that many of them, so it is really fun when you find one.

  3. I'm watching True Blood at the moment and loving it. I like Meg Cabot too.

Leave a comment, you know you want to! Here's hoping that your next book is a Midnight Read!
