If
you are an author, agent, or publisher interested in having me review
one of your books please contact me at midnightbookgirl@gmail.com. I prefer to receive physical books but I do accept e-books. I have both a Nook and a Kindle. I will also except books for giveaways and contests.
I
will try to read and review all books sent to me as long as they are
within my interests, however I am not obligated to read or review any
that are sent to me. All my reviews are written honestly and will
include the following items: title, author, summary (usually from Goodreads unless you have provided me with one), expected publishing
date, cover image and from where I received the book.
I read just about everything, but there are genres I prefer, and genres I tend to avoid.
These lists are not inclusive and are subject to change at any time.
Types of books I enjoy
YA
Adult Fiction
Mystery
Cozy Mystery
Thriller
Horror
Contemporary
Dystopian
Graphic Novels/Manga
Audio Books
Middle Grade
Fantasy*
Some Paranormal**
*I prefer the fantasy side of science fiction. Example: Piers Anthony, George R. R. Martin
*I prefer the humor in Paranormal genre. Example: Charlaine Harris, Molly Harper, Gail Carringer.
Types of books I will NOT review
Children's
Non-Fiction
Erotica
Science Fiction
Historical Fiction
Some Paranormal*
Self-Published**
*I do not read Paranormal that features threesomes, foursomes, fifthsomes (is that something, or is anything over 5 just an out an out orgy?). I like the occasional hot and steamy book, but I won't accept them for reviewing purposes.
**At this time I am no longer accepting self-published work. I will update this if my policy changes.
If I accept your book for review please allow me up to two months to
review your book unless otherwise agreed upon. Accepting your book for review does not guarantee
that I will review it. There could be various reasons for this, but
should I decide, or am unable, to review your book I will notify you. In these cases, I may choose to do a book feature instead of a book review.
