If I Only Had the Time (1)

Too many books, not enough time.  It's only January and I'm already feeling the pressure of being behind in everything.  Especially reading!

Here's the thing, I love books. Wipe the surprise off your face.  I really want to read every book I own, but like most people I just don't have the time to read all the books.

If ever you doubt that life is fair, just take a look at your tbr pile and you'll know that it just ain't so.

But here's a book I would love to make some time for:

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.  I don't have the time right now, but I will get to this book and do a re-read before the next movie comes out.  It's been too long and I only read it the one time.  When I read Mockingjay, I loved Finnick, but could not remember him from Catching Fire. Did that just make your bookish heart a little sad?  It did mine too.  So, here's to someday finding the time to read this one!

What book are you hoping to make time for someday?

  1. There is simply just not enough time. I feel the same way and it is only January. I'm hoping to just take some time and do all that I can to catch up. Whatever I don't get to...I'll have to let go. I can't carry this with me all year. I'll end up in a blogging funk.

I'm going to reread Catching Fire before the next movie as well. I can't wait.

    1. I'm fortunate in the fact that I'm reading some really great books so I'm enjoying what I'm reading, I just feel I'm moving slow even though I'm not really behind schedule. I just need to ease up on myself, and so do you!

I'm really looking forward to both the re-read and the movie, I was really impressed by how well they were able to translate the book onscreen, and the changes they did make didn't really bother me too much. ;)

  2. If I only had the time - I would pick up The Fault In Our Stars. I started it last year, read a few pages, put it down, and haven't picked it up since. I will make time soon though ... I hope!

    1. When I bought The Fault in Our Stars I let it linger on my shelves for awhile- it's the kind of book that you have to be in the right mood to read. So the next time you're in the mood to read something that will make you laugh, cry and swoon all at the same time... then it's time to pick it up. Just have some tissues nearby!

  3. The Raven Boys. I started it, then got slammed with fall review books. So I put it on hold. I was hoping to get to it over the holidays.

  6. I wish I had all the time to. Maybe someday we will win the lottery (you know, if we played) and then we wouldn't have to work or clean and then we could do all the reading (and buy all the books).

I plan on rereading Catching Fire before the movie too.
